In 1954 a van and a van based Countryman estate were made available in the A30 range, which had been a four door saloon at first. The A30 was produced in Australia by the Austin Motor Company (Australia) until 1954 and then by its successor, the British Motor Corporation (Australia) Pty Ltd, from 1954 to 1956, as the BMC name replaced Austin there. The Countryman estate was based on the van. The Australian cars were built there too.
