Initially available as a tourer, by 1922 three body styles were offered on the Austin Twelve: the four seat tourer and the two or four seater, both at 550 pounds, and the coupe at 675 pounds. The Twelve of 1922 was the motor car that Austin had introduced in 1921, in its first full year, scaled down from the Austin Twenty of 1919. The coupe was the most expensive of the three. The Twelve was a smaller car than the Twenty.
