A virtually new Austin Ten was launched in May 1939, with the body shell incorporating the floor to give a semi unitary structure, completely restyled by the Argentine born Dick Burzi, who had joined Austin from Lancia in 1929. In 1938 the Cambridge and the Conway cabriolet had gained an aluminium cylinder head on the engine and a higher compression ratio. The new body was a semi unitary design, new for the Ten.
