During 1935 the friction dampers on the Austin Ten were replaced with hydraulic dampers, following the facelift of August 1934. The Ten of 1935 was a small car sold in saloon, open two seater, cabriolet and van forms, with the Ripley sports model, and was Austin's best seller, filling the gap between the baby Austin Seven and the Twelve in the range of the Austin company. The Austin company built the car in several body forms.
