The Series 200 is the re-engined version of the De Havilland Canada Dash 8. It keeps the same 37 to 39 passenger airframe as the original Series 100 but uses the more powerful Pratt and Whitney Canada PW123 engines, each rated at 2,150 shp (1,600 kW). Production ran from 1995 to 2009. Its variants were the DHC-8-201 and DHC-8-202, and the Q200 added the Active Noise and Vibration Suppression system that Bombardier fitted to Dash 8 aircraft delivered after 1997. It sits between the original Series 100 and the stretched Series 300 in the four-size Dash 8 family.
