Hyperloop

A proposed high-speed transport mode for passengers and freight in which pressurized pods travel through sealed, low-pressure tubes, floating on air bearings or magnetic levitation to cut aerodynamic drag and reach speeds rivaling aviation. Elon Musk published the modern concept in a 2013 white paper, and it drew heavy commercial and research interest worldwide in the years after, though no full-scale passenger line has entered service.
