Ford 3000

Work and Industrial Vehicles

The Ford 3000 was a tractor that Ford introduced in the spring of 1965 as part of its Thousand Series of tractors. It was a ground up new platform designed to replace the earlier Hundred Series Fords built from 1955 through 1964. It had a three cylinder overhead valve, water cooled engine, and could be ordered with a Ford built 158 cubic inch gas engine or a 175 cubic inch diesel, rated at 35 horsepower at the power take off. The optional transmissions were a four speed, a six speed, an eight speed and a ten speed Select O Speed power shift unit. Buyers could also choose a differential lock, power steering, a live power take off and hydraulic remote valves, and the standard front wheels were 5.5 by 16 inches, with two sizes offered for the rear wheels.
