Gillig Low Floor

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Gillig Low Floor is a transit bus built by American manufacturer Gillig Corporation, introduced in the mid-1990s as the company's low-floor successor to its earlier high-floor Phantom model and built to meet accessibility requirements for step-free boarding on North American public transit. Produced in standard forty-foot and shorter lengths as well as battery-electric and hybrid-electric variants, it became one of the most widely used heavy-duty transit buses among mid-sized and smaller American transit agencies, valued for its relatively simple mechanical layout and the manufacturer's practice of building each bus to an individual agency's specification rather than from a fixed catalog of standard trims.
