Container Ships

Cargo ships built to carry standard shipping containers, a type that reshaped world trade after the first commercially successful container ship sailed in 1956. An entry belongs here when the cited article calls the ship a container ship. It excludes bulk, tanker and general cargo ships. Entries are placed by what their own cited article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
