Evening Star is a British steam locomotive built in 1960, the last steam locomotive constructed for British Railways before the network completed its shift to diesel and electric traction. Numbered 92220 and finished in an experimental green livery for its final duty, it is preserved today as a reminder of the end of mainline steam operation in Britain.
