RENFE AVE Class 103

Passenger Rolling Stock and High-Speed Trainsets

The AVE Class 103 is a Spanish high-speed trainset built by Siemens as part of its Velaro family for RENFE's Alta Velocidad Espanola network, entering service in 2007 with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Introduced to expand capacity on the Madrid to Barcelona high-speed line, it shares its underlying platform with Velaro trains built for other national railways, including Germany's ICE 3, and it remains one of the fastest trainsets operating in regular commercial service in Europe.
