All Vehicles

Vehicles groups the pivotal transport machines and systems this atlas tracks as artifacts in their own right: locomotives and rolling stock, automobiles, motorcycles, buses and trucks, bicycles, ships and boats, aircraft and spacecraft, organized by mode and further by function within each mode. A vehicle entity describes a model, class or type of transport machine, not a single preserved or historical example of one. This category excludes the engineers and pioneers who designed these vehicles, who belong under Figures, the companies that built or operated them, who belong under Networks and Operators, and the infrastructure they run on, which belongs under Infrastructure.
