Boeing CH-47 Chinook

Lighter-Than-Air Craft and Rotorcraft

The Boeing CH-47 Chinook is an American twin engine, tandem rotor heavy lift helicopter that entered United States Army service in the early 1960s, recognizable by its two large rotors mounted fore and aft rather than a single main rotor and tail rotor. Its heavy lift capacity has kept it in continuous production and front line military service for decades, used for troop transport, artillery movement and battlefield resupply by the United States and many allied armed forces.
