Daimler Trucks North America, until 2008 called Freightliner LLC and before that the Freightliner Corporation, is the North American commercial vehicle arm of the Daimler truck business, headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Its brands include Freightliner Trucks, Western Star Trucks, Thomas Built Buses, Freightliner Custom Chassis, Detroit Diesel and, until 2009, Sterling Trucks. It took on its present name when Daimler and Chrysler separated in 2007, and before that the same company ran Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star and Thomas for DaimlerChrysler. Today it is a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG.
