Willys Overland Crossley was a British-based joint venture of Crossley Motors and Willys-Overland, formed in 1919 and active until 1934. It built cars, buses and trucks at Heaton Chapel in Stockport, England, and later had plants in Berlin, Germany, and Antwerp, Belgium. Production began in 1920 with the assembly of kits shipped from the Willys-Overland plant in Canada, fitted with British bodies on the Overland Model 4 chassis, and the company also offered the Willys-Knight. Later products included the Overland 13.9 with a Morris engine, the Whippet of 1926 and a range of commercial vehicles, some sold under the Manchester name. Sales never met expectations, car production stopped in 1929 and the partnership was dissolved in 1932, with the last production in 1934 before the factory was sold to Fairey Aviation.
