WiLL was a marketing approach shared by a small group of Japanese companies that set out to offer products and services for a younger public from August 1999 until July 2004 in Japan. The companies that took part were Kao, Toyota, Asahi Breweries, Panasonic, Kinki Nippon Tourist, Ezaki Glico and Kokuyo, and every product was listed on the willshop.com website. Toyota gave the brand its cars, the WiLL Vi, the WiLL VS and the WiLL Cypha, which did not use the Toyota emblem. The project reflected the Japanese engineering philosophy called Kansei engineering, and Toyota ran a similar youth oriented programme in North America called Project Genesis.
