Think, written TH!NK, was a Norwegian electric car marque that began in Bærum in January 1991 as Pivco, the Personal Independent Vehicle Company. Its cars were built around an aluminium chassis developed in Denmark carrying a polyethylene body rotomolded in one piece, and ten of fifteen PIV2 prototypes were ready for the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. The City Bee of 1995 took part in the San Francisco Bay Area station car demonstration, and Pivco's first production model, the PIV4, later called the TH!NK, was developed with Lotus Cars in a consulting role. The Danish chassis work was one of the main reasons Ford acquired 51 percent of the company, and once development of the production TH!NK City finished in 1999 Ford took it forward, selling electric bicycles and golf carts under the same brand. Ford later sold its stock, and Think Global built electric cars in Norway until it filed for bankruptcy for the fourth time in twenty years on 22 June 2011; production ceased in August 2012, with about 2,500 cars made by October 2010.
