Little

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Little was an automobile marque of the Little Motor Car Company, founded mainly by William H. Little and William C. Durant, which operated in Flint, Michigan, from 1911 to 1913. Durant, ousted from General Motors after the Panic of 1910 and 1911, bought the failing Flint Wagon Works and used its assets to set up Little and Mason; the company was incorporated on October 19, 1911. The first Little was a four-cylinder car released in 1911 and considered better than the early Chevrolet, and Durant ordered a second model, the Little Six. In 1912 he had Littles rebadged as Chevrolets, and the company was eventually incorporated into the Chevrolet Motor Company.
