The Isuzu Supermedic was a high-specification ambulance that Isuzu built and sold in Japan, with the bodywork done by Shinsei Kogyo. It was the third such ambulance from a Japanese maker and the first ambulance offered with air suspension. It was based on the Elf truck and carried Elf stickers, but its proper name is Supermedic. Like the first Nissan Paramedic, being truck-based made narrow roads hard to enter, which Isuzu answered with a smaller Supermedic II based on the Fargo, sold from 1996. The Supermedic went on sale in 1994 and production ended in 1998.
