Fiat 6602

The Fiat 6602, also called ACP 62/70, was a heavy military truck of Italian manufacture designed to carry heavy materials or military personnel. It was produced in Italy by Fiat Veicoli Industriali to meet the needs of the Italian armed forces in the 1960s and 1970s, which classed it, depending on the year of manufacture, as the Cp 62, petrol powered, or the Cp 70, diesel powered, more efficient and more widespread, or by drive: the four-wheel-drive version was called Type 6602 and the six-wheel-drive one Type 6607. The truck was valued for its robustness, its adaptability to the roughest ground and its load capacity, so the army, navy and air force all used it in their logistic units. The last examples were withdrawn and struck off around 1990 to 2000. The Cp 62 had a six cylinder engine of 7298 cubic centimetres and 89 horsepower.
