UD Croner

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The UD Croner is a line of medium-duty trucks produced by UD Trucks with the Volvo Group and sold outside Japan. It entered production in 2017 and began selling in Ecuador and South Africa that year, and it won a 2017 Good Design Award. The range is split into the LKE at 12 to 14 tonnes, the MKE at 10.4 to 11 tonnes and the PKE at 15 to 17 tonnes. Power comes from GH5E or GH8E diesel engines with a six speed manual or automatic transmission depending on the market. In India the same truck is sold by VE Commercial Vehicles under its Eicher brand as the Pro 6000 series, and the Croner is related to the UD Condor and the UD Quester.
