Hyundai Mighty II

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Hyundai Mighty II is a line of medium-duty commercial trucks built by Hyundai Motor Company. Manufacture began in August 1997, with the first vehicles going to Korea, and the range was later imported or built in other Asian countries, Europe, the Middle East and North America, where it was sold in the United States as the Bering LD. Models are named by a weight code: the digits of the HD65, HD72 and HD78 give the gross vehicle weight rating in hundreds of kilograms, so the HD65 is rated at 6,500 kilograms. Buyers could choose from four cab styles and two wheelbases, and the engines were four-cylinder diesels from the D4 family. Production of the Mighty II ended in 2004, and in many markets it was replaced by the Hyundai Truck.
