Nissan Diesel Resona

The Nissan Diesel Resona was a heavy truck built by Nissan Diesel Industries, the company now known as UD Trucks. It was introduced in 1979 as the replacement for the earlier C series heavy truck and used turbocharged inline six cylinder engines, with V8 and V10 engines also offered. The Resona name only came into use with the 1983 facelift, which brought rectangular four headlamp lighting, and it was dropped again after the 1986 revision, after which the truck was simply called the heavy truck or the second generation C series. The range covered two, three and four axle chassis, tractor units and snow clearing and off road variants. The Japanese article records that it was the first Japanese heavy truck to offer disc brakes on all wheels as a factory option, and that antilock brakes became an option on its tractors in 1987. Production ended in 1990 and the Big Thumb followed it.
