The International ProStar is a line of Class 8 heavy trucks built by Navistar International, manufactured from 2006 to 2016, notable for introducing the Star branding convention that International Trucks subsequently used across other model lines in its lineup. Built primarily for long-haul over-the-road trucking, the ProStar was designed with improved aerodynamics and driver comfort compared to International's earlier conventional-cab trucks, aimed at competing more directly with established long-haul rivals from Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt and Volvo. The ProStar was eventually succeeded in International's lineup by the LT Series, but its decade-long production run made it one of the manufacturer's more significant heavy truck models of the early twenty-first century.
