The Hyundai Xcient is a heavy-duty truck built by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company, presented at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show as the successor to the earlier Hyundai Trago. Built for long-haul and heavy vocational trucking, the Xcient represented Hyundai's push to compete more directly in the heavy commercial vehicle segment against established Japanese, European and other Korean truck manufacturers both within South Korea and in export markets. Hyundai has since developed a hydrogen fuel cell version of the Xcient, marketed as the Xcient Fuel Cell, among the first mass-produced heavy-duty hydrogen fuel cell trucks, extending the model's significance beyond its original diesel-powered heavy-haul role.
