The Ford Model TT is an early American truck built by the Ford Motor Company from 1917 to 1927, based mechanically on the Ford Model T car but fitted with a lengthened frame, a stronger rear axle and heavier-duty running gear suited to commercial hauling. As Ford's first dedicated truck model, it was typically sold as a bare chassis for outside body builders to fit with the load bed or cab a given business needed, and its low price and the Model T's established reputation for reliability helped make it one of the most common early trucks on American roads.
