The Bedford TK is a British medium-duty commercial truck built by Bedford, the truck and van manufacturing subsidiary of Vauxhall Motors and, in turn, General Motors, produced from 1959 through the early 1980s. Built in a wide range of body configurations, including flatbeds, box vans, tippers, fire engines and buses on the same chassis, the TK became one of the most common trucks on British roads during its long production run, valued by operators for its simplicity, durability and ease of maintenance. Its distinctive tilting cab design, allowing the whole cab to tip forward for engine access, was a significant feature for a truck of its era and period, and surviving examples remain popular among vintage commercial vehicle enthusiasts in Britain today.
