Mikael Colville-Andersen

Mikael Colville-Andersen is a Canadian Danish urban designer and urban mobility expert. He was chief executive of Copenhagenize Design Company, which he founded in 2009 in Copenhagen, and he works with cities and governments worldwide coaching them toward becoming more bicycle friendly. He is credited with pioneering the cycle chic movement, coining the term in 2007, and with popularizing the term Copenhagenize to describe making cities more bicycle friendly, arguing that cities should be designed instead of engineered.
