Mark Gorton

Mark Howard Gorton (born November 7, 1966) is an American entrepreneur, the creator of the peer to peer file sharing client LimeWire and chief executive of the Lime Group. In transportation reform he backed the New York City Streets Renaissance Campaign launched in 2005, which spawned the advocacy projects Streetsblog and Streetfilms, and he was a major financial contributor to Transportation Alternatives, an advocacy organization for pedestrians, cyclists and public transit users. In 1999 he founded the nonprofit OpenPlans, which developed the GeoServer mapping software to support collaborative urban planning.
