LMS Princess Royal Class

Steam and Early Locomotives

The LMS Princess Royal Class was a class of express passenger 4-6-2 steam locomotives designed by William Stanier and built at Crewe Works between 1933 and 1935. Twelve were built for hauling the London, Midland and Scottish Railway's fastest services on the West Coast Main Line, and two examples of the class survive today in preservation.
