Honda Shine

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Bangladesh Honda Private Limited (BHL) and Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) developed the Shine, a motorcycle of 100 cc and 125 cc, first introduced in India in 2006. It was a four-speed motorcycle, and is one of the best-selling motorcycles in India in the 125 cc segment. Honda releases new revisions every year that are either cosmetic changes like new colors and graphics or small features like compliance with Bharat BS-IV emission norms. Honda claims that it can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.30 seconds. In 2020 HMSI launched a fuel-injected Shine with a five-speed gearbox. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the carburetted models (2006 to 2019 model years); the fuel-injected models and Shine 100 (2020 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
