Honda made the CB900F, a motorcycle, from 1979 through 1983. It was a typical sport-adjacent Universal Japanese Motorcycle of its time, using a 901 cc straight four-cylinder four-stroke DOHC engine with carburetors, a five-speed gearbox and chain final drive, producing 95 bhp at 9,000 rpm. Its design was aimed at European markets, rather than the usual focus on the United States, where it was not available until 1981, and in 1983 it was replaced by the CB1100F. The engine drew on other designs, such as the CB1000C, the CB1100F and CB1100R and the inline-six CBX1000. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the single generation (1979 to 1983 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
