Honda CB600F Hornet

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The CB600F, called the Hornet in Europe and Brazil and the 599 in the US, is a street motorcycle that Honda manufactures, with a 599 cc liquid cooled inline four originally detuned from the CBR600 sport bike's. The Hornet name was not taken to North America because AMC, and its successor Chrysler, had trademarked the name with the AMC Hornet. It was introduced for Europe in 1998 and is considered a standard or naked bike with an upright riding position. The CB650F replaced it in 2014 and a new Honda Hornet CB750 succeeded it in Europe in 2022. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 3 generations: the 1998 to 2002 (1998 to 2002 model years); the 2003 to 2006 (2003 to 2006 model years); the 2007 to 2013 (2007 to 2013 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
