Honda made the CB1000R, a standard or naked motorcycle of the CB series with four cylinders and 1,000 cc, between 2008 and 2016, and it resumed in 2018. It was unveiled at EICMA in November 2007 as a replacement for the Honda CB900F Hornet, the US-market 919. Its styling cues are borrowed from the 2007 CB600F Hornet, and its engine is a detuned version of the 2007 CBR1000RR engine, producing about 81.61 kW at the rear wheel. In November 2017 Honda unveiled the new iteration along with the CB125R and CB300R. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the 2008 to 2016 (2008 to 2016 model years); the 2018 onward (2018 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
