1981 Honda CX500

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Honda released the GL500 Silver Wing in 1981, a mid sized touring bike built on the CX500 engine, with transistorized ignition and Pro-Link monoshock rear suspension, offered as a naked bike or as an Interstate with a large factory fairing, hard saddlebags and a trunk. The 1981 model had a small trunk on the tail. The CX500 Deluxe ended in 1981. This page belongs to the Honda CX500 (CX500, 1978 to 1981), 1978 to 1981 model years; the generation page and the Honda CX500 model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
