1979 Honda CX500

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The CX500 Custom variant was introduced in 1979, with a smaller, narrower tank and buckhorn handlebars, and turn signals mounted along the fork tubes. The CX500 Deluxe also appeared in 1979, looking nearly identical to the original CX500 Standard but with regular 85 mph gauges and headlight, no mini fairing, and black reversed ComStar wheels, 19 inch front and 16 inch rear. This page belongs to the Honda CX500 (CX500, 1978 to 1981), 1978 to 1981 model years; the generation page and the Honda CX500 model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
