1997 Honda Shadow

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The 1997 Shadow ACE got a different engine, the RC44E, for the VT750C, a bigger version of the 52 degree 600 cc V-twin, with a wide ratio five speed gearbox and chain final drive. A Spirit with extra chrome on the engine replaced the Standard VT1100 in 1997, and Honda introduced an ACE Tourer with hard saddlebags matched to the body color. Honda Japan also made VT400 models in 1997 for sale at home, almost identical to the VT750 series but with smaller engines.
