1983 Honda CX500

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

In 1983 the CX500 was bumped up to 673 cc and became the CX650, and the GL500 was upgraded to the GL650 Silver Wing. The CX650 Turbo of 1983 had a higher compression ratio, less maximum boost and a revised fuel injection control system, and Honda built 1,777 of them, of which fewer than 1,200 went to the US and Canada. The CX650 Custom was a one-year cruiser model for the US market, and the CX650ED Eurosport was aimed at the UK, Europe, Canada and Australia. Honda dropped the Silver Wings built on the CX after the 1983 model year.
