Honda introduced the Shadow Sabre in 2000, based on the VT1100 engine and styled differently from the Spirit, which was still made, and its cast aluminum front wheel was its most notable feature. In the same period the Honda Shadow Sabre replaced the VT1100 from 2000 to 2007 in the 1,100 cc class. The Shadow Slasher, a Japanese VT400 model, was introduced in February 2000. This page belongs to the Honda Shadow (ACE and Spirit era), 1997 to 2003 model years; the generation page and the Honda Shadow model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
