The 1985 VT500C had round chromed headlamps and dual horns, a two-piece seat with an integrated backrest, polished chrome engine covers with enlarged fins and a curved Honda tank decal. The VT700C was available in Black or Candy Glory Red with painted side covers. The tariff was lifted in 1985, and the 1,100 cc VT1100C was introduced that year with dual horns, dual front disc brakes and a 1,099 cc five-speed shaft-drive V-twin.
