Honda Motocompo

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Honda sold the Motocompo, a folding scooter, between 1981 and 1983, only in Japan and only as a factory add-on. It was the smallest scooter ever produced by Honda, and it folded into a rectangle for easy storage. It was introduced as a trunk bike to fit inside subcompact cars like the Honda Today and the then new Honda City, inspired by the Second World War era British Welbike folding motorcycle. The City's baggage compartment was specifically developed around the Motocompo, which was sold as a factory add-on and not sold separately. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the Motocompo (1981 to 1983 model years); the Motocompacto (2023 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
