Honda Dax

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Japan and Europe know the Honda ST-series minibikes as the Dax, and Canada and the US as the Trail 70. The ST70 was exported to Canada and the US as the CT70, and the ST90 was sold in the US as the Trailsport. Honda introduced the ST50, ST70 and CT70 in August 1969 and built them through 1981, the bigger ST90 from 1973 through 1975, and the ST50 was reissued in 1995 and built through 2000. A key feature is the pressed-steel T-bone frame, and in 2023 the ST125 was released in the European market. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 3 generations: the ST50, ST70 and ST90 (1969 to 1994 model years); the 1995 ST50 reissue (1995 to 2000 model years); the ST125 (2023 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
