Citadis is Alstom's family of low-floor trams and light rail vehicles. More than 8,000 had been ordered by 2025, running in over 140 cities on all six inhabited continents, mostly built at La Rochelle and Valenciennes in France, Barcelona in Spain and Annaba in Algeria. It developed from Alstom's earlier TFS vehicle. The family spans generations from X01 to X05 and variants from three to nine sections, from the 70 percent low-floor Citadis 301 to the fully low-floor Citadis 305 and the nine-section Citadis 502, with light rail versions such as the Citadis Dualis and the North American Citadis Spirit. Most take current from overhead wires, but some use Alstom's ground-level power supply, batteries or supercapacitors.
