The British Rail Class 375 Electrostar is an electric multiple unit train built at Derby Litchurch Lane Works, thirty units by Adtranz from 1999 to 2001 and 110 units by Bombardier Transportation from 2001 to 2004. It is part of the Electrostar family that also includes classes 357, 376, 377, 378, 379 and 387, the most numerous type of electric multiple unit introduced since the privatisation of British Rail. The trains entered service in 2000, are owned by Eversholt Rail Group and are leased to Southeastern, where they form the basis of the mainline fleet from London into Kent and parts of East Sussex. They replaced slam-door Mark 1 derived stock more than 40 years old, and all units were converted from Tightlock to Dellner couplers; refurbishment with a new blue livery ran from 2015 to 2018.
