Alstom MRP 236

Passenger Rolling Stock and High-Speed Trainsets

The Alstom MRP 236, also known as the Alstom 300 Series, is a class of fixed-formation standard-gauge electric multiple units made by CostaRail of Costa Masnaga and by Alstom between 2000 and 2008. They work on the Rome, Civita Castellana and Viterbo railway. Each train has three bodies: a motor car numbered with the even numbers from 302 to 320, a driving trailer with the odd numbers from 301 to 319 and an intermediate trailer numbered from 401 to 410. The last train to enter service was set 319-410-320. The first overhauled train in the Cotral livery returned to service on 11 November 2025 and a second followed on 10 April 2026.
