The Alstom Metropolis C830C is a three-car electric multiple unit built for the Circle Line of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit system, where it runs driverless under communications-based train control. Twenty-four trainsets were made by Shanghai Alstom Transport Co Ltd, a joint venture between Alstom and Shanghai Electric, with deliveries starting at the end of June 2014. The order was tendered together with the C751C contract for the North East Line, and the Land Transport Authority published the tender results on 1 February 2012. The body shell matches the earlier C830, while the interior colours, brighter headlights, dynamic route map display and louder traction motors set it apart. In 2016 about 300 losses of signalling communication on the Circle Line were traced to faulty signalling hardware in one vehicle.
