The Alstom Metropolis C751C is the second generation of communications-based train control electric multiple unit rolling stock in operation on the North East Line of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit system. Eighteen six-car trainsets were manufactured by Shanghai Alstom Transport Co Ltd, a joint venture between Alstom and Shanghai Electric, with deliveries beginning in July 2014 and all trainsets delivered by 2015. The tender for contract 751C was opened together with contract C830C for additional Circle Line trains and closed on 18 July 2011, with the Land Transport Authority publishing the results on 1 February 2012. Under normal circumstances the train runs fully driverless, relying on continuous two-way digital communication with a wayside control centre instead of fixed block track circuits.
