The Alstom Coradia LINT is an articulated light diesel railcar of the Coradia family, made by Alstom since 1999 at Salzgitter in Germany. LINT stands for the German leichter innovativer Nahverkehrstriebwagen, a light innovative local transport rail vehicle, and it was designed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch before Alstom acquired that company in 1996. The number in each type name gives its length class: the single car LINT 27 is known as DB class 640, the two part LINT 41 as class 648, and the LINT 54 and three car LINT 81 were introduced in 2013. Capacity runs from 70 to 300 seated passengers at up to 140 km/h. The Coradia iLint is a hydrogen fuel cell version of the LINT 54.
