The Alstom Coradia 1000 is a diesel multiple unit operating in Great Britain and part of the Alstom Coradia family of diesel and electric multiple units. Two types were built, the Class 175 and the Class 180. Both use a diesel-hydraulic powertrain with Voith transmissions and Cummins diesel engines. When new they had hydrodynamic retarders as part of their braking, but because those proved unreliable they were bypassed and the trains now use their normal air brakes. The two classes can work in multiple with each other but not with other classes. As of 2025 the Class 175 is operated by Great Western Railway and the Class 180 by Grand Central.
