The Citadis 305 for Kaohsiung is the catenary-free low-floor tram of the Kaohsiung Light Rail circular line in Taiwan. It is based on the five-section, three-bogie Citadis 305 of Alstom's Citadis X05 range and was chosen in January 2017, when Alstom with China Steel beat CAF, supplier of the first-stage Urbos trams, for additional trainsets for the second stage. The first set was built at La Rochelle in France, shipped through Antwerp and Keelung and delivered to Kaohsiung on 5 September 2018, and the last of eleven arrived in June 2019. It uses axle-type Ixege Evolution bogies, stores energy in a lithium-ion Ecopack that recharges in 20 seconds at stops, and entered service on the existing section on 2 November 2020.
